Inspired by great artists like Prince, Babyface, Stevie Wonder and George Michael to name a few, Montreal based Singer/Songwriter, Producer Wayne Tennant considers himself a slave to melody and harmony. He’s spent the last few years building his catalogue of songs which are fused in Soul/R&B, Pop and Electronica.
In 2015, he debuted on the local scene with his debut, self produced album “Life in a Minor Key” which spawned a buzz worthy song called “Crash”. This song got him media attention on CBC due to the music video that accompanied the song. Following that, he was nominated for Anglophone Artist of the Year in 2017 at the first Gala Dynasty Awards. He’s since then released several one off singles and he will be readying himself to release an inspirational single called “Fireflies“.
Wayne Tennant is an R&B/Soul singer-songwriter and producer based in Montreal, Canada. Inspired by the greats like Prince, Babyface and Stevie Wonder, his music is genre-bending and knows no bounds –infusing funk, electronica, and retro sub-genres into his own brand of alternative R&B.
Tennant recently joined Canadian indie-pop singer Charlotte Cardin for her virtual showcase The Phoenix Experience (2021) as part of her choir. Tennant also has recently begun performing with Canadian pop singer Jonathan Roy where he appeared and sang in the acoustic music video for his single Lost.
In 2015, Tennant released his debut album Life in Minor Key of which the video to his single Crash was featured on the national news in Canada (CBC News).
He was also nominated for “Anglophone Artist of the Year” at the first edition of the Gala Dynasty awards in 2017.
His upcoming EP Curfew Flowers marks a departure in his sound through a new collaboration with producer-duo MAC x DAYZ.
